Teton Springs Resort - a Brief History
The dream that has become Teton Springs started with Bill Hastings, a third generation farmer with a passion for the game of golf and a desire to see his family’s land transformed into a premier golf community. In pursuit of his dream he came to discuss his idea with Bill Ward and PC Development, both of whom had been involved years before with the Teton Pines Golf Club in Jackson Hole. They quickly adopted Bill’s vision for the property and immediately began to assemble a team of investors and professional managers that would make the dream a reality.
The vision for Teton Springs was that of an outdoor lifestyle community with an emphasis on golf and fishing… a place where residents and guests could enjoy year-round recreational activities in an environment that fostered family values and western traditions.
In keeping with the desire to emphasize family values and tradition, who better than Byron Nelson, “golf’s finest gentleman”, to be asked to lead our course design team? Byron, Steve Jones, and Gary Stephenson have done a masterful job creating a course that is both enjoyable and challenging to players of all skill levels.
Understanding that fishing, like golf, is a pastime often shared and passed down through the generations, over 50 acres of lakes, ponds, and spring creeks were created to ensure a pleasurable angling experience for young and old alike.
